To create a logo for Sunshine Foundation Romania, committee member Maire O'Loan asked the pupils of All Saints Primary School Ballymena to use their creative skills to design an image that was in keeping with the fundamental principles of SFR. Maire explained that our objectives were to improve the lives and living conditions of abandoned children in Romania by bringing a ray of sunshine into their lives. As you can imagine, picking a winner was not easy but the committee members finally, unanimously agreed that Michaela in P6 had the best design. It depicts children playing outside, under the watchful eyes of a bright sunshine and is created using the colours of the Romanian national flag, namely red, blue and yellow. SFR wishes to thank the staff of All Saints Primary School who helped organise this competition.
